2 YEARS AND ??? TO GO!!!

We just celebrated our 2nd year LID Anniversary! We don't have anything exciting to share! We're still waiting for the call. We made a few changes and some additions here and there, so we hope to hear something soon. We're continuing to put our faith and trust in the Lord. He ultimately knows the right time and who are daughter will be! In this we find peace of mind, it's NOT easy, but it helps! Thank you for your prayers, we ask that you continue to keep praying! Thanks! :)

22 MONTHS AND REVIEW ROOM

It's nice to get back into the swing of things after having the time off for the holidays! We spent some time in Idaho visiting my family. It was great to be able to ring in the new year with them! Welcome 2009!

This past Monday we received news that our Dossier was accepted and cleared China's Review Room. This means that they are pleased with our documents and we won't have to provide anymore information for them at this time! I'm sure you maybe asking, "What Now"? We'll we're just waiting for the call! We ask that you continue to pray for this step in our process!!! We're unsure when the call will come, but will keep you posted to when it happens! Thank you again for your prayers and support, we love you!

Here's a photo of the numerous Dossiers in the Review Room!

21 MONTHS AND ??? TO GO

The past few days I've had off due to snow and ice. We had cabin fever pretty bad, so we ventured out. It was pretty scary out there! It's been nice doing things around the house that I normally wouldn't have time to do. It's also been great spending the extra time with Paul.

Christmas is coming soon, 9 days to be exact. We're going to Paul's cousin's home in Gladstone. There will be tons of family there! We have a tradition doing the gift exchange game with one another. We look forward to going. The 27th we're going to Idaho to visit my family. We'll be there for 5 days. My brother and his wife will be flying in from Arizona to join us.

We're still waiting to hear news about the adoption. Sorry everyone that there isn't anything new and exciting to share with you. Continue to be in prayer! Thanks. :)

We'd like to wish everyone a very special Christmas. May it be a blessed one!

Here's some photos of our snow! Enjoy!

20 MONTHS AND ??? TO GO

Today is Thanksgiving! We have much to be thankful for, friends and family, but most of all our Savior Jesus Christ! Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. (Romans 118:1)

Nothing new on our adoption. We're still waiting to be out of the Review Room, as well as receiving our referral. Hopefully the new year will bring positive things! We know that we must "walk by Faith and not by Sight" (2 Corinthians 5:7), so we're placing our trust in God knowing that he knows the right time and child he has for us. Of course we'd love to have her NOW, but will keep our eyes on HIM and not "run ahead" of HIS will.

Today we'll be going to Paul's aunt and uncle's home in Oregon City. We always look forward to spending time with them, as well as cousins. His uncle is an amazing cook! We can't wait! No huge plans for the rest of the weekend. We will be watching the Civil War game on Saturday. Go Beavers!!!

Just recently we began to sponsor a little one in Rwanda. Her name is Annociatta. She's 8yrs. and oh so precious! We found her through World Vision, which came to our church last week. We fell in love with her and are looking forward to supporting her.

We'd like to wish everyone a very special Thanksgiving! Thank you for your prayers and support. We love you! :)

19 months and ????? to go!

Hi everyone! I know, I'm a late on posting. Things have been crazy here. I had dental surgery, bladder infections and relatives visiting, thus being late. Sorry!

Nothing new on our adoption. I emailed our social worker. She said there's a long line of other families who joined the special needs program the same time we did. We're just waiting for our turn now. Please continue to pray for our wait, it's a little discouraging. We want to continue to be excited about starting a family, but the long wait is putting a damper on it!

We finished painting the nursery and sanding the furniture. We're painting the furniture a soft white. Hopefully it'll be done by Christmas. We will share photos when we're done.

18 MONTHS AND ???? TO GO

Sorry for not being on time with the update. School started back a few weeks ago, so it really through me for a loop. I've been spending my extra time catching up on house chores and rest.

Nothing new on our adoption! We continue to wait patiently. Each day that passes brings us one day closer to our daughter. :)

We have chosen the paint color for the nursery and are currently having it painted. It's a soft pink called Be mine. Paul chose it. He's so proud of it! We plan on painting the crib and dresser too, but it'll be off white. Once it's done I'll take photos and share it with you all.

Thanks again for all your prayers! We love you!!! :)

Rumors!!!

This past week rumors were in the air that matches were made. I noticed that our agency's blog spot said that indeed matches were made. We're hoping that we were matched this time around. If not, then it's SOON!!! We'll let you know when we hear something!!!

Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him! Psalm 37:7
